ERP5 Enterprise
When "Standard" Isn't Enough
Nexedi provides specialist services to implement time-critical and complex
ERP5 systems. Oftentimes a "Best Practice" solution may be
technically insufficient, isn't covering technical requirements or introduces
large scale organizational changes. This is when Nexedi can step in with
"ERP5 Enterprise". Our dedicated team of software developers
and consultants are experts in analyzing business process requirements and
implementing them inside ERP5 along with fine grained security permissions and
custom extensions where needed. We handle integration with existing systems,
data migration of both data and documents as well as testing. If needed we
are also able to tweak and improve underlying systems fixing kernels,
improving databases and customizing software to ensure your ERP5 performs according
to defined needs.
Agility By The Book
Projects are usually handled in two ways: Through detailed documentary analysis
or through gap analysis.
Our step-by-step implementation process is the best way to map existing
processes to ERP5. The ERP5 system will be built according to the
way your business works. This approach requires understanding instead
of forcing changes. Only once a system has been fully mapped, Nexedi may
suggest future improvements or extensions to evolve from an existing status
quo. Our
implementation process has been researched extensively and is best
suited for large government, finance and industrial projects with tight
regulatory restrictions, a long history of process development or both.
In contrast, our gap analysis process aims to create a minimal configuration
ERP5 covering about 80% of requirements and extending on this
iteration by analysis of gaps to reach the final implementation state. This
approach is best suited for startups, SMUs and smaller groups perhaps only
upgrading parts of an existing system with ERP5 (e.g. CRM).
Iterate to Success
Our development process usually includes development of a prototype
to cover core use cases. This ensures mutual understanding for
further iterations, which are managed internally on a milestone and task
basis. We usually work in small teams (1-3 developers, < 1 consultant)
which may include client developers to ease transfer of know-how. Depending
on need, implementations are done "module by module" or all at once
("Big Bang"). A key point, taking about 1/3 of a projects development
time, are unit, functional and scalability tests simulating users
working with the system. This allows to gradually improve system quality and
reliability during the development process. Finally, successful projects
usually include a dedicated member of the clients' staff familiar with
features requested and managing the milestone schedule and providing direct
feedback while organizing internal trainings for future ERP5 users.
Continued Support
Once a projects is launched, Nexedi continues to provide maintenance
services, which include 24/7 support, necessary system upgrades and
implementation of requested extensions defined through work packages.
This ensures a system remains stable as it grows and evolves through
its application life cycle.
